Biron Robertson, LLC is looking for Certified Cath Lab Techs for 13-week travel assignments across North Carolina.

n

Biron Robertson is a medical staffing company focused on short term travel assignments. New hires can intend on taking one or multiple assignments with flexible options available for time off between work assignments.

n

The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technician will assist in procedures involving the heart and vascular system, particularly those that require catheterization. They work alongside cardiologists, nurses, and other medical professionals to diagnose and treat heart conditions.

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

Assist in Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures:

n

• Prepare patients for procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, or pacemaker insertion.

n

• Operate and monitor medical imaging equipment (e.g., X-rays, fluoroscopy) during procedures.

n

• Set up and test equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.

n

• Assist in catheter insertion and guide its placement during procedures.

n

Patient Care:

n

• Explain procedures to patients and ensure they are comfortable.

n

• Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after the procedure.

n

• Respond quickly to emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, during procedures.

n

• Record patient information, procedural data, and findings accurately.

n

Collaboration:

n

• Work closely with the cardiology team to ensure the success of procedures.

n

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

n

Skills and Qualifications:

n

• 2 years plus as a Cath Lab Technician

n

• An associate degree or higher in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a related field.

n

• Certification or training in cardiac catheterization is preferred.

n

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.

n

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
