SQIRL: Hiring Front of House Member
This is a hybrid Front of House role as you may be a runner/server one day followed by a cashier the next. You need to be a people person, enjoy being part of a team, and appreciate quality food and food service - what hospitality means. You will also need to enjoy moving aorund the restaurant!
Additionally, if you have barista experience that is an extra plus with extra starting wage potential.
The FOH member will be responsible for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for guests in the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality and have a high level of service skills and interpersonal skills.
Job Overview
- Oversee table maintenance
- Communicate about wine - producer, place, varietal, method with nuance and care.
- Continually grow knowledge of coffee, wine, food items and customers
- Take/serve orders and answer all guest inquiries
- Deliver drinks & food to tables
- Collaborate with other Sqirl servers, Management and Culinary colleagues
- Handle complaints or challenges with a positive attitude
- Maintain the quality and consistency of the guest experience
Requirements
- 2 years experience in a lifestyle hospitality environment preferred
- Extensive Wine knowledge
- Service-oriented and passion for hospitality
- Register/Cash handling experience
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Proactive attitude with strong organizational skills
- Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
