SHIFT: 2nd
HOURS: 2:00pm-10:30pm/ Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
HOURLY PAY= $24.50 PER HOUR

SUMMARY :
Works closely with management to organize and execute the safe movement of fleet trailers within the yard. Checks fuel levels, tracks inventory, verifies loadout orders and completes daily reports. Communicates and interacts with other departments in a professional manner. Responsible for the placement of trailers on the yard and organization of the yard.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Operate yard truck to move trailers to and from dock.
  • Reports all accidents immediately to supervisor.
  • Monitors company issued radio and returns radio to battery charger at the end of each day.
  • Monitor and adjust refrigerated trailer temperature settings per specific load requirements.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and fueling of the yard tractors and trailers.
  • Completes daily checkoff list and reports any repairs needed to the yard tractor to the Shipping Manager.
  • Remove trash and wash-out trailers daily.
  • Moves tankers in and out of the receiving bay.
  • Other duties as assigned.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Willing to work overtime and weekends occasionally. Knowledgeable on performing pre- and post-trip inspections.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver's license required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must regularly operate a truck. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to lift medium weight (50lbs. max or 25 lbs. frequently).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather, moving equipment and significantly varying temperatures.
  • Employee may have exposure to fumes and odors of grease, oil, gas and engine exhaust.
