Job Description
Position Summary:
MAU is hiring a night shift Equipment Service Associate (ESA) in Greer, SC. This is a direct-hire position. The ESA is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying automotive manufacturing and test equipment. This role focuses on improving system uptime and reliability and overseeing equipment modifications to accommodate process changes, new models, and expansions. This role is also responsible for maintaining and updating all process documentation and must demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and plant expansions.
  • Update and maintain all process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Associate Degree in a technical manufacturing discipline with at least 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems, and PC controls.
    • Or: High school diploma/GED with 2 years of technical maintenance experience, plus an additional 2 years in automation/PLC controls, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems, and PC controls (4 years total experience).
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and requirements.
    • Willingness to work overtime and holidays as required.
    • Must pass a technical knowledge assessment and a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test, which involves working with live current.
Preferred Experience:
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of closed-loop servo systems.
  • Design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sequential processes.
  • High-level programming languages.
  • Interfacing controls, processes, and feedback devices.
  • Human/Machine interface devices and associated software.
  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC variable frequency drives.
  • Hands-on experience (3+ years) in the following areas is highly desirable:
    • Three-phase power systems
    • Pneumatic controls
    • Siemens PLC S7 systems
