Maintenance Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Lethbridge, AB site. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a critical role in supporting production operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues.
  • Support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure the operation of company equipment, including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control devices.
  • Perform electrical repairs, service, troubleshooting, and scheduled equipment inspections following prescribed guidelines and procedures.
  • Review and assist program leaders and teams with the electrical safety program to ensure adherence.
  • Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures, including environmental regulations.
  • Make recommendations for improved safety through electrical programs and/or process changes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Alberta Electrical Journeyman certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Electrical Journeyman certificate
  • Industrial electrical maintenance work experience
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining, repairing, installing, and troubleshooting industrial electrical panels and equipment up to 600V
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting electrical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC
  • Knowledge and experience in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing MCPs, ICPs, fire and securing systems, and communications systems
  • Working knowledge of and willingness to interpret the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)
  • An understanding of PLC automation (Allen Bradly) and ladder logic is an asset
