JOB DESCRIPTION
471 bed hospital - Level 2 trauma center
The Certified Surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of instruments, linen set-up and all equipment necessary to perform any surgical procedure. These responsibilities include the maintenance of aseptic technique in all surgical scrub procedures. Independent judgment is exercised under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse.
Wide variety of cases, bread and butter, plus more specialty cases.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience

• Minimum of two years in specialty in similar size hospital
• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to move or lift patients with assistance.

License/Registration/Certification

• CPR (by the American Heart Association)
• BLS, ACLS - American Heart Association

Education and Training

• Graduation from a surgical technology program or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
