Role Overview: As an Expeditor at Castell’s, you will act as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. This role demands precision, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. From ensuring accurate orders to maintaining exceptional presentation standards, you will help shape the guest experience by keeping service running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities: - Command the Pass: Oversee the flow of service, manage tickets, and prioritize orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Quality Control: Verify the presentation, accuracy, and temperature of each dish before it leaves the kitchen.
- Coordinate Seamlessly: Liaise between chefs, servers, and runners to ensure communication is clear and efficient.
- Solve in Real-Time: Address order discrepancies quickly and effectively to minimize delays and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Lead with Precision: Organize food runners, maintain cleanliness of the expediting area, and ensure food safety protocols are consistently upheld.
- Maintain Workflow: Assist in plating, garnishing, and supporting BOH when necessary to keep service moving without interruption.
What We’re Looking For: - Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen or fine dining restaurant.
- Skills: Strong communication, organization, and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of kitchen operations, ticket times, and food safety regulations.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for presentation, timing, and accuracy.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in kitchen supervisory roles or as a line cook.
- Food Handler’s/Serve Safe Certification.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute complex menu items and recipes.
