Job Description

As a Human Resources Business Partner, I (HRBP), you will serve as business liaison in both a manufacturing and a corporate office environment to facilitate effective decision making and associate development for associates on assignment or traveling to the joint venture from parent companies. This position will be called upon to build, improve/enhance, and maintain a work environment through effective leadership and building strong relationships across the organization.


Responsibilities:

- Applies general understanding of all areas of HR programs and policies, including compensation, HRIS, employee engagement and data analysis to support the day-to-day needs of associates and assigned business units


- Manage relationships with assigned business units and act as business partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust and mobilizing appropriate internal and external resources to support in delivering business strategy


- Administer assignment and/or travel policy to inpatriate/foreign manpower assigned to joint venture from parent companies


- Responsible for overseeing multiple sites and programs to ensure support is provided throughout the organization


- Administer, interpret, update, recommend associate and/or parent company support policy


- Engage directly with parent company resources to ensure proper onboarding, onsite/local support, and offboarding


- Draft communications to large audiences based on approved direction or talking points


- Administrative support to include, but not limited to: document creation, meeting scheduling and executive calendar support, executive travel scheduling, and event planning/support


- Propose appropriate logistics related to key project milestones, events, meetings and community engagement activities


- Other HR administrative functions as determined


Education/Experience:


- 1 to 2+ years as a HR Business Partner or HR Generalist or related experience


- Bachelor’s degree in a related area required or equivalent, relevant experience


- HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or the SHRM equivalent) desired, but not required


Knowledge/Skills:


- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software


- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task / Excellent written and oral communication skills


- Customer service focus; ability to interact with all levels of the organization


- Ability to speak Korean would be required, Japanese and/or Polish would be beneficial


- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills


- Excellent verbal and written communication skills


- Ability to gain a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy jobs, qualifications, comp practices and related admin practices


- Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations


- Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary


- Valid driver’s license and clean/acceptable driving history

- This role requires up to 30% of travel (domestic)
