Job Title: Ultrasound Tech (x2) Duration: 13-week initial duration, ASAP starts Pay range: $70 - $73/hr on W2 JobSchedule: Wed, Thurs, Fri and every other weekend from 1500-2330 hours. (40 hours 1 week, then 24 hours the next) Requirements - Minimum 2 years of hospital (acute) experience required
- Candidates must have vascular experience (40%-50% of cases), OB and peds experience required as well.
- RDMS/ARRT required
- Current BLS
Duties "Coordinates daily patient schedule for U/S. Performs U/S studies and insures correct processing and handling. Helps in other areas of radiology such as front desk, reception, etc. Insures proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness. Assists clerical staff when possible. Attends seminars and in-services. Takes call and standby as needed. Promotes a cooperative and positive relationship with physicians and other hospital staff/departments.
1. Performs ultrasound examinations in accordance to established protocols.
2. ssists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
3. Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
4. Responsible for patient confidentiality, safety and well being during examinations.
5. Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
6. Reports to ultrasound supervisor all equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
7. Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to the QA policies.
8. Responsible for processing images, organizing paper work and completing charge sheets.
9. Works in other areas of the department such as reception, assisting transfer, transport, etc.
10. Organizational standards for Joint Commission, Patient Safety and the Department of Heath will be met or exceeded
11. Takes call and/or standby when required."
