- Reason for Coverage: Retirement and relocation of two physicians
- Practice Setting: Critical access hospital in historic seaport of Belfast, Maine
- Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Call Schedule: Every third, flexible
- Average Surgical Cases per Day: 14-16 (includes endoscopy)
- Patient Age Range: 3 years old to 100+ years old
Procedures: - General surgical cases (adult)
- Minor nerve blocks, plexus anesthesia, epidural, spinal, regional anesthesia
- Obstetrical cases
- Acute pain management procedures
- Arterial line insertion
- Management of acute volume/BP issues
Key Information: - Trauma Level: No trauma
- Supervision of CRNAs: No, the physician does their own cases
- EMR: EPIC
- Operating Rooms: 3 anesthesia sites/day (ORs and endoscopy rooms)
- Call Ratio: Every third shift, flexible
- Anesthesiologists in Practice: 4
- Congenial and professional OR staff
Requirements: - Board Certified ABA (will consider candidates in the board certification process) REQUIRED
- Maine State License (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED
- ACLS/BLS Preferred
