Overview:
The Common Investment Platform program aims to consolidate multiple asset management systems into three streamlined systems. The SimCorp Developer will play a critical role in developing, configuring, and optimizing SimCorp Dimension to support the program's objectives. This includes hands-on development, workflow configuration, and active collaboration with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Typical Day in Role:
- SimCorp Development and Configuration:
- Work extensively within SimCorp Dimension, performing tasks such as:
- Updating or modifying DEX or Client.
- Managing trade and security flows into the system.
- Updating the Trade Manager module.
- Modifying collateral information.
- Creating new or updating existing portfolio calculations.
- Updating the Reconciliation module.
- Utilizing IBOR (Investment Book of Record) components, including Trade Manager, Collateral, and Reconciliation, with a focus on operational efficiency.
Business Analysis and Workflow Configuration:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into system configurations.
- Configure and optimize business workflows in SimCorp Dimension to align with operational needs.
Team Collaboration:
- Participate in daily stand-ups and grooming sessions to discuss progress and address challenges.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including Portfolio Administration, Middle Office, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and Solution Architects.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Gather requirements from business units and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to the technical support team.
Problem-Solving and Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
- Provide hands-on solutions to complex business problems.
- Support and enhance existing applications (~85% of time) and develop new features as required (~15% of time).
Candidate Requirements / Must-Have Skills:
- SimCorp Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension, with proficiency in applicable modules and the ability to implement changes effectively.
- Investment Management Experience: Minimum of 5 years in investment management, with a solid understanding of workflows and operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases, including the ability to write queries, manipulate data, and optimize performance.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Crystal Reports for reporting and data visualization.
- Familiarity with financial reporting frameworks or accounting systems.
