SUMMARY - We are in need of a Contract Position for a Supply Chain Specialist focused on manufacturing, supply chain, and regulated industries. The individual in this role will leverage their technical expertise to manage material-related issues, enhance delivery performance, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure on-time customer deliveries. The Contractor should have a 4-year college degree and 6 to 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities:
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Technical Expertise:
o Utilize strong technical knowledge in manufacturing, supply chain, and regulated
industries to inform decision-making and problem-solving.
2. Reporting and Planning:
o Create Line of Business (LOB) reports, Waterfall Charts, and Recovery Plans
tailored to customer needs.
o Develop and utilize suitable reporting and performance management tools to
measure performance against goals.
3. Communication:
o Communicate recovery and delivery schedules effectively with multiple
customers.
o Provide critical updates and action plans regarding purchased parts to Parker
customers, collaborating with the responsible business team.
4. Problem Resolution:
o Resolve complex problems requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation, often
involving complicated solutions and negotiations.
o Function as the main focal point for managing all material-related issues
concerning late and past due products for customers.
5. Ownership and Risk Management:
o Maintain ownership of purchased parts to support on-time customer deliveries for
assigned product lines.
o Proactively identify risks within the purchased part value stream and collaborate
with product line stakeholders and the supply chain to mitigate those risks.
6. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Interface actively with stakeholders, including engineering, purchasing, quality,
and supplier development, to improve delivery performance and communication.
o Conduct supplier site visits to evaluate production capabilities, performance,
delivery, and other key business criteria.
7. Supplier Performance Monitoring:
o Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions to
resolve potential failures that may delay production or delivery.
o Address shipment quality discrepancies by mediating issues between suppliers
and manufacturing, facilitating inspections, substitutions, and standardization.
8. Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Prepare complex reports and analyses by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing
information and trends to inform business decisions.
o Develop, coordinate, and implement improvement initiatives with key suppliers
based on data analysis and comparative assessments.
