Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging Development:
- Lead technical packaging changes, including die line creation, prototyping, sampling, and unit load development.
- Develop packaging solutions across materials such as fiberboard, corrugate, cartons, plastics, and films.
- Specifications & Design:
- Establish packaging specifications based on product needs, cost limitations, safety, and compliance requirements.
- Design aesthetically appealing, functional, and practical packaging solutions with a focus on brand consistency.
- Compliance & Standards:
- Adhere to packaging and transportation regulations, customer/vendor requirements, and internal standards.
- Ensure compliance with corporate safety, quality, and sustainability guidelines.
- Supply Chain Integration:
- Collaborate with vendors, co-packers, and supply chain teams to optimize operations and production efficiency.
- Identify and resolve packaging-related manufacturing issues.
- Innovation & Market Alignment:
- Monitor industry trends and introduce innovative packaging technologies and materials.
- Align packaging designs with brand equity and consumer expectations.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Design and conduct tests to qualify materials, components, and packaging processes.
- Develop detailed documentation, including test protocols, trial results, and technical reports.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Act as a packaging subject matter expert on cross-functional teams for complex projects.
- Deliver best-in-class packaging designs, standards, and specifications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Packaging co-op/internship or 1–3 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of packaging development, operations, and supply chain processes.
- Experience with SAP/PLM systems (preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in TOPS, CAPE, CAD, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with printing processes and packaging industry practices.

- Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices.
