Job Function Summary:
Involves acquisition of goods and services including equipment acquisition, contracting for professional services, design and / or construction services, business contracts, maintenance services, consulting and personal services.
Custom Scope:
The position involves outreach to current Common Spirit vendors to obtain key information regarding services, pricing and performance guarantees to create vendor profile utilizing MS Word and Excel. Based on information gathered, conduct analysis determine next steps and disposition. All information and analysis to be documented and filed. Profile/analysis to be reviewed by procurement supervisor and director. Establish new vendor accounts in Allscripts ERP system, when appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
35% Perform basic research and analysis via outreach to vendors to gather data to create vendor profile. Maintain data gather in Excel or MS Word and conduct basic analysis by creating Excel workbooks, pivot tables, etc.
35% When appropriate and with supervision, conduct initial pricing/contract analysis to determine if we can lower price and improve terms. Develop advanced spreadsheets and other documentation to support analysis
15% Assists in operational implementation of new vendors and program changes impacting vendor services (e.g. Set up new Vendor Accounts in ERP system when needed)
15% Maintains administrative documents for assigned vendors utilizing MS Word, Excel or ERP system.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Strong level of proficiency in the use of standard spreadsheet and word processing software. Req
Ability to read and interpret terms and conditions of contracts. Pref
Analytical skills necessary to evaluate the quality and cost effectiveness of multiple and complex purchasing options. Pref
Knowledge of organization's departments and operations required in order to meet their procurement needs. Pref
Strong skills in the use of ERP / financial systems (such as Allscripts, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Banner, etc.). Pref
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Pref
