Seeking a Safety & Training Coordinator with to join a collaborative and culture-focused team.
As a Safety & Training Coordinator , you'll ensure our operations adheres to stringent quality, safety and environmental standards. You'll work closely with our team to foster a culture of safety and compliance, while also contributing to our ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.
Safety & Training Coordinator Tasks:
- Train temporary and new hire employees (forklift, safety, compliance, and predetermined job-related tasks)
- Conduct initial and refresher trainings as needed/required (OSHA, ISO 9001 & 14001)
- Oversee and conduct the Safety Committee
- Assist and serve as backup to the GM of Compliance
- Keep employee training records and conduct refresher trainings
- Complete New Entry Driver Training for CDL/ladle truck drivers
- Conduct Monthly Safety Committee Meetings, address findings, post and track results
- Approve new material requests and responsible for maintaining Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Responsible for Safety Manual
- Assist GM with permits/renewals and with the ISO 9001 and 14001 programs
- Implementing/revising procedures/work instructions as needed
- Monitoring process and departments to ensure that the programs are effective
- Complete required compliance checks
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations
- Manage emergency response plans and procedures
Safety & Training Coordinator Profile:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred, Must had HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in a production-related (preferably foundry) environment, implementing new/existing procedures and training
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to communication with various departments/levels effectively
- Ability to prepare effective, clear procedures and work instructions, and revise as needed
- Capability to work well under pressure, with little supervision, and make sound decisions
- Ability to adjust start time/end time, based on training needs; very limited weekends
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- ISO 9001 and 14001 experience
- Experience with FESOP (minor version of Title 5 regulations) related to air emissions, a Plus
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations
- Experience with risk assessments and safety training
- Passion for creating a safe and sustainable workplace
Safety & Training Coordinator Benefits:
- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
- M-F limited after hours
