Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate, Histology

Our client is at the forefront of developing a non-viral gene therapy platform capable of precisely targeting various organs in the body, delivering large payloads in multiple formats without the need for invasive procedures.

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate with strong technical experience in sample processing for histology. You will work across teams to receive samples from necropsy and prepare them for histology, IHC and RNAscope analysis.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Creativity and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team to achieve technical and corporate milestones.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Technical Requirements and Skills:

• Proven track record of performing FFPE sample embedding and sectioning for a variety of sample types.
• Extensive experience preparing slides for IHC and DNA and RNA analysis (RNAscope, Visium, etc.)
• Previous experience using tissue processors, embedding stations, and microtomes for sample and slide preparation (Leica, Sakura, Epredia, etc.)
• Expertise in performing special stains such as H&E, PAS, Trichrome, etc.
• Experience for OCT embedding and cryo-sectioning is a bonus.
• Ideal candidate will have familiarity with ELN platforms.
• Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.

The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $120,000.00 USD annually.
