We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with food industry experience for our client located in Twin Falls, Idaho. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception to completion. This position requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional project management skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes. The Senior Project Engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. GMP Certification experience preferred. This is a contract position with a 12+ month duration, contract-to-hire possibility for promising candidates. US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) is required. This position is NOT available to C2C (corp-to-corp) recruiter agencies.

Duties 

• Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using construction management software.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project operations.
• Utilize construction management software for project documentation and communication.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, including updates on milestones and deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.

Qualifications 

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software
• Proficient in blueprint reading, contract management, and project scheduling techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to construction projects.

Compensation: $65-$75/hr
