As a Senior Patrol Officer, you will work alongside your former peers who collectively total over 25 years of Law Enforcement experience.

Responsibilities
- Security and Patrol – Direct and indirect rounding on patient care floors to support clinical staff. Indirect rounding on exterior assigned areas to look for suspicious and criminal activity.
- Reporting – Documenting all incidents as they occur through written communication in the hospital approved reporting system. Be the conduit to local Law Enforcement as needed.
- Support Functions – Support clinical staff in all areas of the hospital in the performance of their duties. Perform vehicle, walking, and money escort assignments.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required, plus graduation from a Connecticut or other POST approved Police Academy.
- Experience: 5+ years of police experience, or former Military Police experience required.
- Licensure: Must have held or currently hold a Police Officer POST Certification, current driver's license with acceptable driving record, and State of CT pistol permit.
- Must maintain current qualifications for the State Security Officer License. Individuals must maintain a valid Connecticut State Security Officer Pistol Permit. Must successfully pass an annual mandatory pistol re-qualification course to maintain a Senior Protective Services Officer assignment. Failure to do so will result in a temporary/permanent reassignment to a different job classification, or termination of employment.
- Effective communication skills – verbal and written. Utilize excellent de-escalation skills.
- Active listening and effective decision-making skills in a sustained high stress environment.
- Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time and be in the appropriate physical condition for position demands.
