Central Communications Officer- Dispatcher

Responsibilities

  • Primary customer contact for routine and emergency calls. Operating radio dispatch consoles, answering department telephone systems, observing video management system, perform alarm monitoring as well as answering 155 emergency calls. You will utilize Computerized Aided Dispatch (CAD) to capture all Security activity.
  • Triaging communications, data entry incident tracking to support investigations, and monitoring the fire alarm and infant protection systems.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience: 1+ years of dispatch experience, preferably within Security, Police, Fire, EMS, or Military
  • Licensure: State of CT Guard Card is preferred at date of hire.
  • Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Proficient with computer; Ability to pick up computer systems quickly.
  • Active listener and effective decision-making skills under duress
  • Must be able to sit for lengthy periods of time.
