  • Engage with counterparties (Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Financial Institutions, and Corporates) on a variety of derivatives, including Fixed Income (IRD, TRS, CDS), FX, Commodities, and Equities.
  • Provide legal support for secured and structured derivative transactions while collaborating with the Legal team on compliance with Dodd-Frank Title VII and EMIR regulatory requirements.

  • Proactively identify and address legal risks associated with derivative activities, providing strategic solutions to enhance risk control.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of seven legal professionals, including direct oversight of the Market Documentation team, ensuring effective performance and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a legal role at a large financial institution or law firm, with a focus on capital markets and derivatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and succinctly in writing and verbally.
