The Carlisle Group has proudly partnered with this organization’s leadership for over 25 years, witnessing firsthand their remarkable growth and consistent success. This is a unique opportunity to excel within a mid-sized organization where every individual’s contributions are valued and pivotal to long-term success.

What sets this Warehouse Manager role apart? It’s truly transformational.

Due to explosive growth and product line expansion, our client’s warehouses are evolving into dynamic hubs of economic activity. Joining their team in this capacity provides an unparalleled chance to leave a personal mark on their operations. This isn’t about following a cookie-cutter approach or adhering to a standard playbook. Instead, it’s a thrilling opportunity to lead a comprehensive transformation.

In this role, you will spearhead the implementation of the Körber WMS Inventory Management System, overhaul existing processes, and build a high-performing team ready to drive the organization into the future. Your leadership will turn this location into a model of excellence, setting the standard for other facilities across the network. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, including the COO and VP of Sales/Operations, giving you a real seat at the table and a voice in strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Utilize the Körber WMS Inventory Management System to track and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Conduct and oversee cycle counting processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Audit and analyze inventory metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Warehouse Operations:
  • Lead and manage all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Ensure all orders are processed and fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Train team members on operational processes, safety protocols, and inventory systems.
  • Set performance goals and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team.
  • Logistics Management:
  • Manage last-mile logistics, including container delivery, LTL (Less Than Truckload), and full truckload delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Address and resolve customer delivery issues promptly.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Analyze KPIs to identify opportunities for process validation and improvement.
  • Implement and monitor changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Leverage technical proficiency to introduce automation or technology-based solutions where applicable.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance metrics, inventory accuracy, and process improvements.
  • Maintain exceptional written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Körber WMS Inventory Management System (or similar systems).
  • Advanced technical and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, cycle counting, and KPI analysis.
  • Experience in last-mile logistics, including container delivery, LTL, and full truckload processes.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a warehouse team in a high-volume distribution center.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma

This is a retained client we have worked with for more than a decade and we can discuss all the details with qualified candidates.
