Job Summary:

As a Route Manager , you will play a pivotal role in the efficient and effective delivery of uniform and facility services to our valued customers. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of drivers and service technicians, ensuring timely deliveries, quality control, and excellent customer service on assigned routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Route Management: Oversee daily operations of assigned service routes, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries and pickups of uniforms, mats, and other facility services.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of drivers and service technicians, providing direction, support, and coaching to enhance team performance.
  • Customer Service: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers by providing high-quality service, addressing customer concerns, and resolving any issues related to deliveries or services.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor route performance, optimize delivery schedules, and ensure fuel efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that uniforms and facility products meet company quality standards before delivery to clients.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with tracking and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring stock levels are sufficient to meet customer demand.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on route performance, customer feedback, and any operational challenges to the management team.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Promote a culture of safety and accountability among your team.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree a plus).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in route management, logistics, or service operations (preferably in uniform rental or facility services).
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions on the fly.
  • Familiarity with route planning software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in the logistics or service industry.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, depending on location.
