Note: Must be able to work onsite in Tampa, FL. Candidates should be local to Tampa.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage the ECPC construction project from kick-off to completion. This role will be key to ensuring effective communication and coordination between the client and the General Contractor (GC), with a focus on delivering the project on time, within scope, and in compliance with all regulatory standards, including Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
Key Responsibilities:
Communication and Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the GC's superintendent.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between client teams and construction field personnel.
Construction Oversight and Management:
- Supervise all construction activities to ensure alignment with project objectives, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Manage the construction schedule, ensuring timely project completion and tracking progress towards milestones.
- Address and resolve construction issues or conflicts in collaboration with the GC, maintaining project quality.
- Compile and disseminate regular construction reports and updates to stakeholders.
Safety and Compliance Enforcement:
- Enforce adherence to EHS standards and cGMP regulations throughout the construction phase.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits (GEMBA) with the safety team to mitigate hazards and promote a safe working environment.
Quality Control:
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high construction standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and guide the construction team, promoting a collaborative and productive environment.
Risk Management and Scheduling:
- Lead risk assessments and constructability design reviews to ensure feasibility and practicality of designs.
- Define responsibilities for project deliverables and oversee risk evaluation and mitigation strategies.
- Consult on project schedules, ensuring accuracy and updates to meet construction milestones.
- Verify contractor schedules to ensure they align with planned activities and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of EHS standards, cGMP, and cons truction best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
