To help us drive excellence, you will get to:
- Participate in month-end close activities including reconciling accounts, journal entry preparation, analyzing variances to budget, and preparing reports
- Provide general accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis activities for the Plant and occasionally lead financial projects.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly forecasting and annual budget preparation.
- Work with financial process improvements and implementation of changes.
- Assist with Plant activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals.
- Maintain a positive team environment with all levels of the organization.
- Identify and analyze customer pricing issues and coordinate corrective action with Commercial Team.
- Participate in fixed asset activity, depreciation reports, and perform new program financial tracking and analysis.
- Responsible for special projects as assigned.
- Support Plant activities towards achieving customer awards and Quality registration (ex. TS 16949, ISO 14001, Pentastar, etc.)
- Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
- Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations and laws.
- Assists with the creation of acceptable standards in Finance.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Level II Procedures etc.)
- This role reports to the Plant Controller.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in related financial, operational or business analysis.
- Direct experience with financial systems, manufacturing systems, general ledger, standardized cost accounting, along with budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Understanding of financial and performance data.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Must have advance proficiency with MS Excel.
- Knowledge of QAD and One Stream is a plus or similar integrated financial manufacturing systems.
