SENIOR PRODUCT DEVELOPER - WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

• Bachelor's degree in apparel design, textile science or related field.

• Two years additional product creation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Minimum 5 years development experience in the apparel industry, which includes the apparel development process from inception through production including construction, materials, costing, manufacturing and quality.

• Strong problem solving, organization and communication skills.

• Experience interpreting design intent and offering alternative solutions.

• Understanding of product specs and construction standards instructions.

• Experience working with factory vendors to ensure and improve manufacturability.

• Ability to manage multiple projects.

• Experience using Adobe Illustrator, familiarity of CAD Pattern Design software (Optitex) and 3D software (Clo/Browzwear) highly desired.

• Proficiency with MS Office programs.

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for a Sr. Product Developer with expertise in project management, construction, textiles, trims, and graphics to be part of our creative team within the company. A key part of this role is understanding the full scope of product creation from design concept to production. The Sr. Product Developer is a creative problem solver and a proactive thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are an active participant in triad discussions and support the team with technical recommendations that serve our athletes and consumers. Our ideal candidate is an active listener, able to communicate effectively in varied settings and able to influence the team when needed, while demonstrating credibility and reliability. We are looking for someone who is optimistic, self-aware, embraces change, holds their decisions and actions accountable, will actively seek feedback to grow and develop, values and respects the opinions of their teammates and embraces the diversity of people, ideas, and cultures. You will create and update development documentation for our factory partners including Bill of Materials. You will participate in proto review sessions and comment on the quality, craftsmanship, and manufacturing feasibility of your assigned styles. You will raise awareness of potential quality or manufacturing risks and partner with your triad and Product Integrity team to find a resolution. You will track prototypes for your styles, meet your calendar target dates, attend meetings that relate to your product’s development and communicate progress and challenges to your team as needed.


WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

You will work within the team, managing your assigned styles collaboratively with your cross functional partners to bring creative solutions and ensure the finished product meets or exceeds the required end use. You will review proto’s and samples, shepherding the styles through the creation process while meeting gates and dates to ensure on-time production.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

The Sr. Product Developer will collaborate with Design, Technical Design, Product Management, Materials, Quality, Color and our factory partners to effectively execute on product development deliverables.
