Mechanical Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for management of all manufacturing processes from raw material ordering through shipment of multiple custom made parts. Manufacturing processes include: machining, turning, bending, forming, welding, injection molding, 3D printing, assembly, and others.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage multiple build-to-print projects at once using efficient workflows.
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine proper manufacturing methods and processes.
- Create CAD models and drawings.
- Design fixturing.
- Develop work instructions.
- Request quotes and place POs for required BOMs
- Effectively communicate with supply chain vendors.
- Manage deliveries and schedules of suppliers to ensure on-time shipments.
- Move product through each process in an efficient manner.
- Ensure proper inventory of parts and components post shipment.
Skills
- Must be a US Citizen or Person as defined by ITAR.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Strong and capable time management.
- Proficiency in GD&T.
- Proficiency in CAD programs (PTC Creo).
- Familiarity with 3D printing processes and design considerations.
- Ability to multitask and switch between jobs at a moment’s notice through strong and capable time management.
- Strong organization and project management skills.
- Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving.
- Clear, concise, and effective communication and teamwork skills via in-person, phone, email, or other platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness and commitment to teach and help improve skill sets in others.
