Position Summary
The Project Superintendent will oversee heavy civil roadway construction projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with FDOT specifications and quality standards. The role requires exceptional planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills to coordinate on-site activities, manage subcontractors, and lead workgroups effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations on roadway projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and materials to meet project schedules.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all activities comply with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Monitor project progress, address delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Review and interpret construction plans and specifications to guide project execution.
- Ensure compliance with FDOT specifications and other regulatory requirements.
- Coach and supervise work crews, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
- Resolve on-site issues, maintaining a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential hazards or quality concerns.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in heavy civil roadway construction, with a focus on project supervision.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with FDOT specifications and roadway construction processes.
