Overview:
CSP is partnering with a structural and civil engineering firm serving a wide variety of clients and markets from New York to Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects from inception to construction with a solid understanding of structural engineering principles along with strong verbal and written communication skills. We are seeking team members who have a wide range of experience across the commercial construction industry and are capable of seeing projects through from the beginning of design to the completion of construction.
Duties:
- Provide management of projects including oversight and training of Engineers-inĀ training.
- Prepare designs using modern structural analysis software such as RISA Design Suite, RAM SS, Enercalc, among others.
- Prepare construction documents using Autodesk drafting software; Revit & AutoCAD.
- Write and edit structural design specifications in Masterworks format.
- Attend meetings with clients, design teams members and contractors.
- Perform construction administration related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
- Collaborate with architects and designers and building contractors on design and construction of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or qualified to obtain within 1yr.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects concurrently
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
