Quality Assurance Technician
Location : TruFood Manufacturing, RIDC Industrial Park
Shift : 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Hiring Bonus : $1,000! We will train motivated candidates.
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring TruFood Manufacturing meets all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and BRC Global Food Safety Standards . This position is responsible for verifying that products, packaging, and production processes meet both customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze swab results to monitor cleanliness and compliance.
- Enter test results accurately into the company database and review for adherence to specifications.
- Provide feedback to operators and manufacturing managers on non-conforming products or packaging.
- Communicate results promptly and effectively, following established communication protocols.
- Ensure the assigned workspace remains clean and sanitized at all times in alignment with company procedures.
- Notify the Quality and Production Managers of any identified food safety concerns or deviations.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) , job instructions, and company policies.
- Perform and document required process and quality measurements, such as Brix, moisture content , and other key quality indicators.
- Take corrective actions when results deviate from specifications.
- Consistently meet or exceed established performance and quality targets.
- Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other food safety standards (e.g., BRC).
- Verify that all products are produced to customer specifications and meet quality standards.
- Maintain the workspace through regular cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
- Alert supervisors, team leaders, and managers of idle time or any interruptions in workflow.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education is required.
- 2-3 years of production team experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance setting preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English .
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Basic mathematical aptitude for measurements and data analysis.
- Strong physical dexterity and ability to perform hands-on tasks.
- Ability to safely and regularly use ladders and stairs .
