Night Shift Quality Assurance Technician

Hours: 6:45p – 7a

Days of the week: Swing shift (2, 2, 3 model)

Location: Lafayette, IN

Starting Pay Rate: $25.16 + $1 shift differential

Job Description

QA Technician is responsible for performing quality inspection and testing of all wire products to ensure products meet specifications. We are seeking highly motivated, career focused QA Technician that are going to be dedicated, hardworking, and passionate about getting things done. Primary Task

• Perform quality checks, as outlined in the process procedures for the machine, and minor maintenance when necessary
• Release products after all quality checks have been passed
• Immediately report quality issues to the supervisor or quality manager
• Document all test on required forms and in computer systems
• Work with non-conforming products and be able to disposition
• Use problem solving methods such as 5 Why, 8D, Root cause analysis to solve quality problems

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience
• Experience with metrology tools including calipers, micrometer, multimeters, load bank testers and other types of lab equipment
• Experience using MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Read, write and speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent
