Position: Jr. Electrical Estimator
The Jr. Electrical Estimator will assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive bids for electrical construction projects in various industries, including commercial, industrial, K-12, government, data centers, and healthcare. The ideal candidate will have experience with Accubid and Livecount software and a strong understanding of electrical construction processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Utilize Accubid and Livecount software to accurately estimate labor, materials, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop project bids
- Create detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns for various electrical construction projects
- Attend project site visits and meetings to gather information and assess project scope
- Participate in bid review meetings and make necessary revisions to bids
- Maintain accurate and organized bid files and documentation
- Assist in the preparation of change orders and cost estimates for ongoing projects
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in materials and labor costs
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as an estimator in the electrical construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Accubid and Livecount software
- Experience with commercial, industrial, K-12, government, data centers, and healthcare projects
- Understanding of electrical construction processes and terminology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
