Job Summary


We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled PLC/SCADA Assistant Project Manager to assist in delivering automation and control systems projects in San Jose, CA. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing advanced PLC and SCADA systems that meet dynamic client requirements across diverse industries. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and project management acumen to drive innovative automation solutions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with project teams to review customer specifications and ensure accurate implementation of PLC/SCADA systems.
  • Develop and program PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Modicon) using Studio 5000 and EcoStruxure Control Expert tools.
  • Configure and deploy SCADA platforms such as AVEVA System Platform (OMI, HMI), Ignition SCADA, and FactoryTalk View SE to deliver high-performance visualization and control systems.
  • Support system commissioning, including on-site debugging, testing, and validation to ensure seamless operation at client facilities.
  • Assist in HMI application development, utilizing tools like Structured Text, Ladder Diagrams, and Function Block Diagrams for tailored user interfaces.
  • Ensure timely project delivery by effectively managing installation schedules, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with stakeholders.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and HMI development, with expertise in platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, and Inductive Automation.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and database tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to work seamlessly with internal teams and clients.
  • Local and stable work history demonstrating reliability and long-term commitment to previous roles.

  • Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix
  • EcoStruxure Power SCADA Operation (EPO)
  • Ignition SCADA and AVEVA System Platform
  • Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and Unity Pro
  • Proficiency in structured programming methods (Structured Text, Ladder Logic, etc.)
