Role: Cloud Architect

Location: Redmond, WA

Client: PTG

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data architectures and pipelines on GCP to support real-time and batch processing.
• Architect scalable, high-performance cloud-based data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
• Lead cloud migration efforts for data platforms, transitioning from on-premise data solutions to GCP.
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are implemented in all cloud solutions.
• Design and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage systems for analytical and machine learning applications.
• Monitor and optimize cloud data architecture for cost-efficiency, performance, and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal teams on best practices for GCP-based data solutions.
• Automate and streamline data processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, focusing on data solutions, with significant experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• GCP certifications such as Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
• Expertise in GCP data services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Storage.
• Hands-on experience with designing and implementing data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines on GCP.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance, including IAM, VPC, and encryption on GCP.
