Our client, a Biopharmaceutical company, is in search of a mid-level Infrastructure Compliance Consultant for a 6 month contract (potential to extend) engagement based in North Chicago, IL 60085.
Hybrid: You will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).
Work Schedule: 8a - 5p CST (doesn't require evenings or weekends)
We are looking for a results-driven, customer-centric individual with excellent communication skills to help support our Infrastructure Compliance function. Our goal is to minimize the technology related risks associated with the company’s network, data centers, and desktop/mobile environment. We would like someone with experience working in an IT infrastructure environment, and we will train on the compliance and risk management functions.
Top Requirements:
- 4 - 7 years of experience
- Experience within an infrastructure environment and knowing infrastructure structure.
- Ideally someone who has worked with: Networking, Firewalls, Patch Management, or Database Management.
- Understanding how backend system works, cloud or on-prem, datacenter, hub, etc.
- Awareness, familiarity of basic infrastructure concepts - understanding patches, on-prem/off-prem, etc.
Nice to Have Skills:
- OneTrust or OneVault (can be trained on these)
- Any risk management platform experience
Responsibilities:
- Log infrastructure related risks into the enterprise risk management platform (OneTrust).
- Work with business and IT system owners to assess the logged risks based on the established risk management framework.
- Assess the proposed treatment plans for risks that require remediation.
- Work with infrastructure teams to track implementation of risk remediations against the established timeline, escalating cases where tasks are falling behind. Internal Audit Support
- Monitor group email account for incoming requests.
- Create information requests to identified Infrastructure SME’s in order to fulfill auditor requests.
- Review provided information for completeness, submit and log responses in team tracker. Other
- Update documentation for infrastructure assets in the enterprise asset manager (CMDB), such as regulatory characteristics and data classification.
- Assist with creating/formatting data operational metrics for compliance activities leadership.
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years’ relevant technology experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience working with technical infrastructure components such as servers, firewalls, data centers, backup and restore processes, and cloud hosted environments.
- Ability to learn client's information security and risk management processes, including how to document and treat risks within the enterprise risk management platform (OneTrust).
- Ability to leverage the existing set of IT Policies and Procedures found in the enterprise document management system (OneVault).
- Ability to work independently, with judgement for when to escalate and communicate issues across the team and to team leadership.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and nontechnical team members.
