As the Application Support Analyst, you will have an impact on supporting the business systems that U.S. Multimodal Group’s users rely on to move our company forward. This position provides setup and configuration, technical support, and integration monitoring on the complex business systems needed to perform daily business operations across all divisions of USMMG.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support for system issues and concerns, including collaboration with end users, technology teams, and vendors to resolve incidents and fulfill requests.
- Offers guidance and assists end users with inquiries.
- Utilizes technical aptitude to configure and re-configure business systems and data flow.
- Develops and interprets technical documentation for training and end user procedures.
- Identifies the root cause of issues and helps implement changes to prevent them from occurring in the future.
- Understands and maintains specification documents for EDI messages and other system integrations.
- Troubleshoots EDI transactions to identify and resolve any errors and ensures a smooth flow of information.
- Coordinates with external parties to onboard new trading partners, manages EDI testing and resolves any go-live issues.
- Supports current IT Standards.
- Continues professional development and education to remain informed of current industry development and technologies.
- Support and enforce company information policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and technical problem-solving skills.
- Responsible for the prompt resolution of all issues brought to the attention of the department and notifies senior leadership of non-routine problems and issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience is a similar role supporting business critical applications.
- Knowledge and experience in data exchanges using API’s, File Exchange, and EDI required.
- Working knowledge and experience in Transportation Management Systems, ERP, HRIS and other central business applications.
- Industry knowledge of IMDL, Drayage, Brokerage, and Warehousing is a plus.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly through written and verbal form.
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills with a customer-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to talk, read, hear, sit, and use your hands to type.
