Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys handling single action cases, including personal injury claims.
- Draft, prepare, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information, explain legal procedures, and provide status updates.
- Manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and filed within deadlines.
- Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Prepare and organize evidence, exhibits, and witness information for hearings, trials, or settlements.
- Coordinate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties to schedule hearings and depositions.
- Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring timely action is taken throughout the legal process.
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial binders and exhibits.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification from an accredited program or equivalent legal experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in personal injury or single action litigation.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and relevant state and federal laws.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive client information confidentially.
