Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Single Action Associate Attorney to join our legal team in Sacramento. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury claims and other legal matters requiring single action legal processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of single action cases, primarily focused on personal injury and related legal matters.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing legal advice, updates, and ensuring their needs are met.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in the best possible light.
- Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, exhibits, witness lists, and trial strategies.
- Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure case progress.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, court rules, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in personal injury law or single action litigation.
- Strong understanding of California state and federal laws, including civil procedure, personal injury law, and tort law.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience handling settlement discussions.
