The role of Dispatch is to assist the Service department technician and Service manager. This role requires a strong set of skills and is instrumental to the Service Department.
Responsibilities
· The Dispatcher will be responsible for communicating the customer's needs and service histories to the field employees
· The Dispatcher must dispatch all area technicians and maintain the database per the company's policies and procedures
· The Dispatcher must also ensure the efficiency of the field employees and provide the proper support and communication to both internal and external customers
· Keep dispatch boards current at all times
· Support field personnel and management on customer and company requirements as well as making sure tasks and calls are completed in an expeditious manner
· Proper purchasing and PO issuing as needed to support the team
· Follow the set process flow for managing all customer requests
· Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Extremely high level of urgency to resolve problems
· Ability to adapt to very fast-pace environment and deadlines
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbally
· Must demonstrate organization and prioritization skills to manage time
· High level of computer skills, proficient in Excel
· Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone and computer printer
· Able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
