Job Title: Support Coordinator

Shift: 8-hour Day Shift, Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
Patient Registration
- Collect and accurately record patient demographic and insurance information.
- Ensure all required forms and documents are completed and signed by the patient.
Insurance Verification
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for new patients.
- Communicate insurance details, including co-pays and deductible amounts, to patients.
Scheduling
- Schedule appointments for new patients and coordinate with medical staff and providers.
- Manage appointment calendars to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
Documentation and Data Entry
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) for new patients.
- Enter patient information, medical history, and other relevant data into the EHR system.
Communication
- Address patient inquiries and provide information on clinic procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless intake process.
Problem Resolution
- Address patient concerns related to the intake process promptly and professionally.
- Work with supervisors to resolve complex issues or discrepancies.
Compliance
- Adhere to healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and compliance standards when handling patient information.
- Stay updated on relevant industry changes and regulations.
Qualifications
Must Have:
- High school diploma (college coursework is a plus).
- Prior experience in the medical field, including patient scheduling.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
