Position Overview: We are seeking a top-notch Estate Planning Paralegal to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate and business planning, exceptional attention to detail, and efficiently and effectively managing the workload. This role requires regular client interaction, so strong communication skills and a client-focused attitude are essential. We are willing to explore candidates who may not have a paralegal background, but who have a strong professional accounting background and are looking to transition to a law firm setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft and assist in the preparation of sophisticated estate planning documents.
  2. Assist in the preparation of gift and estate tax returns. 
  3. Form and manage business entity filings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
  5. Organize and maintain client files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
  6. Conduct legal research as needed to support casework.
  7. Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure seamless workflow and excellent client service.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in legal studies (or accounting).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal (or a strong accounting background), with a focus on estate and business planning.  
  3. Good with numbers. 
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. A client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
  9. A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive client information.
