Maintenance Coordinator
Position Type: Direct Hire
Position Location: Commerce, CA
Position Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (Depending on Experience) + Bonu
Responsibilities:
- Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator will assign work order to respective department personnel for completion, manage and improve the PM System in MQ1 and manage department spare parts.
- The position is responsible for development, documentation and implementation of manufacturing processes.
- The maintenance Coordinator will assist the department manager with managing employee’s schedule and approving time sheets.
- Coordinates with other supervisors, managers and employees at all levels to ensure information is available and documented as part of the PM
- Interfaces with Engineering on additions, deletions of modifications to PM procedures as changes to plant configuration dictate
- Monitors and analyzes PM reports, work orders and technician feedback to optimize effective and efficient PM procedures, planning and scheduling.
- Coordinates with Purchasing Manager for Min/Max items, procurement issues and shipment of spare parts and supplies
- Organizes and schedules specialized training or seminars to enhance the overall ability of the department to perform in a sound technical and professional manner.
- Coordinates between shifts and acting as the central point of contact for mechanical/electrical PM issues.
- Ensures PM activities are consistently and concisely documented.
- Initiates and distributes PM status reports to assist in the prioritization of resources and personnel
- Coordinates all facility mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities.
- Plans and schedules of mechanical and electrical PM’s,
- Maintaining all plans, procedures, MOPs, SOPs and all other documentation necessary for safe and proper performance of preventive maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Associates degree in a technical background a minimum (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.); Bachelors degree or higher education is a plus
- 2+ years in a maintenance coordination background preferably in a manufacturing type of environment or an operations management / leadership type role
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written are a must; Bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus
- Strong work ethic and go getter mentality is highly desirable
- Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability to read mechanical drawings / schematics

- Experience or knowledge in metallurgy field, tooling field, or maintenance field is a plus
- Proficient in excel and MS Office software is a must; Experience with a CMMS or QMS system is a plus
- Ability to use CAD software like SolidWorks would be a plus.
- A position in areas, such as the maintenance department where specific skills such as electrical knowledge are required, will require documented evidence of competency in those skills.
- Must be analytical and creative “solution Finder” with focus on safety and quality.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends as needed.
