Job Description

Scheduler

Highland Consulting Group is a National Executive Recruiting firm that specializes in Commercial & Industrial construction.

We are working with a large regional Contractor in the Pittsburgh, PA area that is recruiting for an experienced Scheduler. This position will focus on larger construction projects. Successful candidates must have 5 years Scheduling experience.

  • Create and revise in-depth large, detailed CPM schedules.
  • Conduct schedule review and/or tracking for multi-million dollar projects.
  • Provide assistance to the Management team on project controls policies & procedures and monitor and evaluate all project controls programs, and scheduling.
  • Manage staff utilization to maximize productivity and prevent overlap
  • Maintain communications and support the interchange of information between the project field team and other involved agencies.
  • Provide assistance to the Management team to analyze claims and value proposals to establish schedule implications.
  • Act as liaison for scheduling group and program / project office to provide feedback and summary information regarding projects and program schedule.
  • Coordinate schedule with other Primes contractors, and Subcontractors
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Requirements

  • Solid communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, development or Design and Construction CPM Schedules.
  • Relevant construction scheduling experience in planning, scheduling, expediting, maintaining and reporting the progress of work.
  • Ability to access the quality, timeliness, and efficiency of scheduling activities.
  • Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and scheduling success is a must.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a construction Scheduler / Planner with experience on projects greater than $20 Million.
  • A Bachelor's degree or better is required.
  • Must be proficient using scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Project.
  • Must be able to help with technical training and support other key members.
  • Someone with strong analytical skills that can measure risk is strongly preferred.
