D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Project Control Specialist in Los Angeles, CA.


Responsibilities

Schedule Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Monitor progress and update schedules to reflect changes in scope, budget, or resources.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Budget Control:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project budgets, tracking costs against projections.
  • Analyze financial data to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and provide variance analysis.

Risk and Change Management:

  • Identify and document potential risks, contributing to risk mitigation plans.
  • Track and process project change orders, ensuring accurate updates to project documentation.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Generate and analyze performance reports, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Provide insights on project performance to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to coordinate project activities.
  • Facilitate project meetings and prepare detailed minutes and follow-up action items.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure all project control processes comply with company and client standards.
  • Maintain organized records of schedules, budgets, and project documentation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and cost control software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
