Job Title: Interior Designer / Space Planner

Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer / Space Planner to join our growing team. This role involves creating functional, innovative, and aesthetically pleasing designs for commercial and office spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sense, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate client needs into effective spatial solutions.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and functional needs for interior spaces.
- Create and present design concepts, mood boards, and material selections.
- Develop detailed space plans, floor layouts, and 3D renderings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
- Specify and source furniture, finishes, and materials that align with the design vision and budget.
- Prepare project documentation, including furniture and fixture schedules, purchase orders, and installation plans.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project implementation.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any challenges.
- Assist with creating marketing materials and visuals for presentations and proposals.
- Stay up-to-date with design trends, building codes, and industry best practices.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commercial interior design or space planning (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of space planning principles, ergonomics, and building codes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Workspace.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for creating exceptional spaces.
Preferred but Not Required: - NCIDQ certification or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with sustainable design principles and LEED certification projects.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating visuals and presentations.
- Knowledge of commercial furniture systems and specifications.
- Experience working with office or workplace design projects.
