CBTS is searching for a Sr. Business Project Manager for a full-time opportunity in the Austin, TX area. This will be a hybrid opportunity so resource must be local and willing to go into the office weekly.

Duties

• Responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of multiple, large-scale, complex strategic, regulatory, & departmental projects with cross-functional teams.
• Effectively develops & gains approval of project charter, identifies & assembles project team, creates detailed project plan, performs risk & issue management & monitors scope creep; uses appropriate change management when needed
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to promote successful execution when needed.
• Ensures optimum utilization of resources & management of budgetary targets to meet goals.
• Create & maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Measure project performance to ensure compliance with expected quality standards.
• Publishes status reports to sponsor, business process owner, project team & key stakeholders.
• Records & shares lessons learned & best practices
• Contributes to enhancing the PMO best practices, processes & policies.
• Supports adoption of scrum framework by coaching team on agile values & principles
• Facilitates annual strategic planning activities & project portfolio selection if needed

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
• PMP Certification is a huge plus
• 10+ years of related Project Management experience leading large scale business projects
• MS office / Project & Smartsheets
• LIFE Insurance background a definite requirement
