Pay Rate: $78.57/hour on W2
Location: Hybrid - Houston, TX 77002
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 10-month contract (with possible extension)
Job Overview:
- The Communications manager will report to the Director of Planning & Governance (Office of the CIO) and will work closely with leadership from all verticals across the organization.
- The client’s Digital (IT) organization is seeking an outgoing individual that will define, coordinate, and deliver both content and communications to internal IT employees and consultants.
- As a Change & Communications Manager for the client’s Digital, you will help foster internal engagements, turn concepts into strategies and actions, and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization – from new hires to the CIO.
- The ideal candidate will have a shared background in both IT communications and change management
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating, managing, and distributing informative and interesting communications across the Digital organization.
- Serving as the key partner for creating and preparing unique content on behalf of senior leadership and executives.
- Leveraging internal communications platforms and websites (Microsoft SharePoint, Stream, etc.)
- Regular event planning, coordinating, and hosting of both remote and on-site/in person activities.
- Developing new and reusable content for organizational utilization (templates for email, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Staying informed of developments within the company and the Digital organization.
- Connecting consistent efforts between company communications and digital.
- Leading efforts to establish foundational IT change management processes.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in similar role(s).
- Superlative communication skills in all forms.
- Excellent strategic organization skills.
- Ability to develop interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to think independently and creatively and take a thought from ideation to execution.
- Demonstrated understanding of IT change management and change management processes.
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows and O365 products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Stream, etc.)
- Experience working with other creative platforms such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
