Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role focuses on:
Pricing Strategy Development
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with market demands and company objectives.
- Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to recommend pricing adjustments.
- Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure pricing strategies support business growth.
- Monitor pricing performance and adjust strategies to optimize revenue and profit margins.
Cost Analysis & Forecasting
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis to evaluate the profitability of products and services.
- Work with the finance team to forecast pricing impacts on financial performance.
- Use data to drive pricing decisions that maximize margins while remaining competitive in the market.
Reporting & Analytics
- Regularly report on pricing performance and provide recommendations for adjustments based on data analysis.
- Develop and maintain pricing models, tracking tools, and dashboards.
- Provide insight into pricing trends, margin performance, and revenue growth.
Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate pricing changes and strategies to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Support the development of sales training materials focused on pricing strategies and tools.
- Provide regular training to the sales and customer service teams on pricing policies and procedures.
Project Management
- Lead and participate in pricing-related projects aimed at improving efficiency, profitability, or competitive positioning.
- Manage the implementation of new pricing systems or tools.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, cost analysis, or financial modeling
- Experience in pricing strategies, cost analysis, and market trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience working with ERP or pricing software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Occasional travel may be required
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Experience with pricing software or systems integration
- Strong project management skills
- Understanding of pricing strategies in the HVAC or related industry
