Associate Attorney Job Description:

Masis Professional Group has an immediate need for an Associate Attorney for a very well established and highly reputable law firm Los Angeles California area on a full-time direct hire basis. The ideal candidates will have experience in civil litigation and a demonstrated ability to independently move cases toward resolution or trial.


Associate Attorney Responsibilities:

  • Efficient management of multiple cases.
  • Timely preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery to opposing parties.
  • Participate in mediations, hearings, and depositions as required.
  • Client interaction and problem resolution as it relates to cases.
  • Integration of best practices and standards in handling clients and their cases.
  • Evaluation of findings and development of strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • On-time completion of reports/projects, in adherence to partner and client needs/guidelines.
  • Accurate and timely recording of billable hours, in adherence to client guidelines and Firm policy.

Associate Attorney Qualifications:

  • J.D. from accredited ABA law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • California Bar Association admission.
  • Experience in professional liability defense cases, civil litigation experience a must
  • Securities/FINRA experience a plus
  • Ability to comprehend complex matters, identify and articulate core issues, and understand applicable legal principles.
  • Knowledge of federal and state rules of civil procedures.
  • Proven time-management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize issues and tasks.
  • Possesses a keen eye for detail, coupled with exceptional research and proofreading abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal procedures and current developments.
  • Working knowledge of computers, along with the ability to maintain, update, and modify documents.
  • Possess relevant technology competencies such as LexisNexis, and time-billing software
