A premier private country club in Louisville KY is seeking an assistant F&B/Banquets Manager. This club is known for delivering exceptional dining, events, and social experiences. Their mission is to provide members and guests with unmatched service in a refined, welcoming environment.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Director to oversee our banquet and event operations. This position plays a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our members and guests through seamless event execution and leadership of the banquet team.


Position Summary

The Assistant Food & Beverage Director/Banquet & Event Manager will lead all banquet and event operations, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and satisfaction. This includes team leadership, planning, execution, and collaboration across departments to bring events to life while maintaining budgetary goals and club standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and management of all club events, including weddings, corporate meetings, private parties, and member functions.
  • Lead, train, and supervise the banquet team, ensuring high performance, professionalism, and positive team culture.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director, Executive Chef, and other departments to develop customized event plans and menus.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their event expectations are met or exceeded through clear communication and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Manage budgets, control labor costs, and track key financial metrics to meet departmental performance goals.
  • Enforce compliance with club policies, health codes, and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally to maintain exceptional service standards.
  • Support overall Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant and bar service, and assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Food & Beverage Director.


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in banquet/event management, hospitality, or food & beverage leadership.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, develop, and motivate a dynamic team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in event planning software and POS systems.
  • Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service (preferred).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
