Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Retail Construction Estimator to be based out of our Canton, GA HQ office location. The Estimator will assist with estimating the cost of completing and bidding on various projects.

What You’ll Do:
- Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing
- Prepare instructions to bidders, bid form and other bid solicitation information
- Perform and/or manage the quantity survey and pricing effort for internal budget
- Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information
- Review general conditions, schedule, scopes of work, hoisting plans, site logistics and other exhibits
- Ensure the flow of project information is maintained and documented
- Review and/or manage the review and scoping of specialty contractor bids
- Maintain and communicate data on construction and material cost trends affecting project costs
- Analyze alternate means and methods to determine the most economical alternative
- Build effective relationships with customers, design teams, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations
- Actively participate in industry, client and community relations to enhance company image
- Participate in the transfer of information on successful projects
- Assist in the preparation and review of work plans as requested
- Proactively addresses issues with creativity and discretion
- Review bid scope & details with PSI Project Manager – upon award of project

What You Bring:
- Knowledge of all aspects of retail construction projects
- 3-5 years of prior estimating experience in the retail construction industry primarily estimating for ground up, tenant buildout and remodel projects from $500k-10M in revenue
- Proficient in estimating software including/electronic takeoff/measurement skills such as
- Bluebeam, Plan swift, Pro Est, Excel
- Read and understand project plans, specifications and other construction documents
- Resolving contract disputes and arranging any necessary order changes
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of field personnel, employees, management, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers and owners
- May at times need to attend Pre-Bid Site meetings (travel likely required)
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks
